January 9, 2024Limudei Kodesh Principal
Torah Day School of Atlanta is in search of a Limudei Kodesh Principal to begin in the fall of the 2024 School Year. TDSA is a growing, Kindergarten through 8th grade day school serving the chinuch needs of the Atlanta, Torah-observant Jewish families for the past 38 years. Located in the heart of the Toco Hills community, it educates over 360 boys and girls in separate-gender classes.
The Limudei Kodesh Principal will be a talented and motivated mechanech who cares deeply about inspiring and strengthening a love for Torah learning, a desire for Torah living, and a general sense of ruach and kedusha throughout our school community. He will be a positive role model responsible for the integrity and quality of the Judaic program, which includes promoting a culture that furthers TDSA’s mission and student-centered vision in and around the school, leading the LK faculty, overseeing execution of the LK curriculum, guiding the Middos development and spiritual growth of students, and partnering with parents. The LK principal will have a lifelong impact on our students and their families.
Torah Day School’s Limudei Kodesh Principal reports directly to the Head of School. He will be a thoughtful and reflective member of our Leadership Team who is comfortable with healthy debate in order to advance the school’s goals. He is an engaged, fully invested leader, who builds trust and pays close attention to people and how they can be supported. The LK principal makes thoughtful, well-researched decisions and cares about results.
The LK Principal supervises the Limudei Kodesh and Hebrew faculty and leads all aspects of our Jewish life on campus. He oversees the structures and systems of both our formal and informal educational programs and ensures they support the school’s mission to provide a student-centered, Torah education to our Talmidim.
Overall, our Limudei Kodesh Principal:
- Is passionate about chinuch
- Is a role model for enthusiastically living a Torah life and learning Torah
- Has integrity and a strong work ethic
- Is forward-thinking, organized, and well prepared
- Is a self-reflective, life-long learner
- Takes responsibility for actions and decisions
- Is approachable, collaborative, and an active listener
- Is a kind, humble person with good middos
- Is able to effectively navigate difficult conversations
- Is a strong team player
Ultimately, the LK Principal is a role model for students, faculty, parents, and key community stakeholders. He will possess a leadership style that highlights the very best of the school’s mission and student-centered vision. Because the Limudei Kodesh Principal will have a presence that will be strongly felt throughout the school community, he should promote both a passion for embodying a Torah life, a character that encourages connection and growth, and a resolve to see every student grow to their full potential.
The Atlanta Community:
Atlanta is a growing community with numerous Orthodox shuls, the largest of which has over 500 member families, a robust and active Kollel with 8 full-time learners and a dozen part-time members who have other jobs throughout the community. With two Kosher grocery stores serving take-out meals, a butcher, a pizza restaurant, Israeli and Chinese takeout, and a Judaica store all within the Eiruv, Atlanta is an easy place to find the conveniences of Frum life. Add the southern charm to this Torah environment, and our school and community should rise to one of your top choices when considering where to raise your family while impacting Klal Yisroel.
