About Maayan
Founded more than a dozen years ago, Maayan Torah is a proud member of the Oregon Federation of Independent Schools (OFSI), an affiliate of National Society of Hebrew Day Schools and accredited by Cognia. We are a Torah day school serving 100 students from Early Childhood through Grade 8, supported by a positive working board, excellent and devoted teachers, and a deeply collaborative community that includes a bursting Orthodox shul, a deeply engaged Kollel, and a thriving NCSY chapter. Our parent body is hands on, and we enjoy fruitful relationships with the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland as well as the larger Jewish community. We are passionate about our mission and values: to inspire children to love Judaism, attain high student achievement in all areas, and to provide a student-centered learning environment. Our families all agree – Maayan Torah is a warm, welcoming, nurturing school that upholds our values every day.
