Yeshiva Har Torah, an established Centrist Orthodox Yeshiva on the Queens/Long Island border, seeks a passionate, growth-oriented, educational leader to join our professional leadership team as Middle School Assistant Principal. Candidates should have strong curricular and pedagogical knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and successful leadership experience. This is a unique opportunity for an innovative, knowledgeable and inspired leader who is seeking to have an impact on a vibrant, successful Yeshiva day school.
About our School
Yeshiva Har Torah is a Centrist Orthodox Yeshiva for boys and girls. Our goal is to educate children in a warm, caring environment that brings out the unique qualities in our students. We strive to develop a love for learning within our students while giving them the skills and confidence to succeed. We are committed to Jewish Law and Torah values and offer a sophisticated and challenging curriculum in Jewish and General Studies. Our passionate commitment to religious Zionism and Medinat Yisrael provides our students with the understanding of the meaning and centrality that the State of Israel has in our lives. Our 800 plus students in PreK- 8th grade come from various communities on Long Island and Queens.
Qualifications
- 7- 10 years of demonstrated successful teaching experience
- School leadership experience
- Advanced degree in education or related field
- Experienced in integrating technology into the educational program
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Organized and proficient in time management
- Candidates should be excited to become part of a dynamic leadership team, be reflective in their work, and eager to integrate new research and methods as well as best practices into their professional role.
- Candidates should lead by example as a teacher, role model, and lifelong learner.
