Parshat Hashavua

This workbook has been designed to assist middle-school students in reviewing the weekly פָּרָשָׁה. Through in-depth study of חֻמָּשׁ and exposure to the broader spectrum of Torah knowledge, students can enrich their Jewish education. The ultimate goals of a פָּרָשָׁה class may vary among educators, but common objectives include enabling students to discuss the events of the weekly פָּרָשָׁה at a שַׁבָּת meal and simply familiarizing them with the stories and מִצְוֹת essential to a well-rounded Jewish education.

One of the challenges educators face is engaging students in פָּרָשָׁה study within the limited time available. This workbook aims to address this challenge by providing assessment questions for each parsha in a multiple-choice format that uses up minimal classroom time. This approach also clarifies the educator’s expectations and helps students focus on key aspects of the פָּרָשָׁה.

Important: Digital assessments are available for schools that purchase this book, which adds an additional level of student accountability. See sample assessments here. (You will need to create an account to access the sample quiz.)
