The Early Childhood Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the Early Childhood Center. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of early childhood education to ensure a high-quality, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for all students. The director partners with the Head of School and other members of the leadership team to promote educational excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with the school’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support preschool teachers, assistants, and aides in implementing high-quality instruction and classroom management practices.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train preschool faculty and staff to ensure a strong and mission-aligned team.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and healthy environment for children and staff, attending to physical safety and emotional well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and licensing standards.
- Plan and coordinate professional development opportunities for early childhood staff.
- Develop, document, and communicate policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Oversee the implementation of developmentally appropriate curricula and standards that reflect educational excellence.
- Support staff in effective communication with families, including regular updates and timely outreach regarding student needs.
- Partner with families to discuss student progress and promote family engagement in the educational experience.
- Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the early childhood facility in accordance with all applicable health and safety standards.
- Direct and oversee the work of the Early Childhood Education Center Assistant.
Reporting Structure:
The Early Childhood Director reports to the Head of School.

To provide a rigorous, Orthodox Torah-based education to secular Jewish children—one that is educationally excellent and intentionally designed, to ensure graduates possess the skills, knowledge, and deep connection to Yiddishkeit to live meaningful lives as committed Jews.
