Position Overview
Tehila High School is seeking a passionate, visionary, and mission-driven Head of School to lead our new Orthodox Jewish girls’ high school. The Head of School will serve as the educational, spiritual, and operational leader of the institution, guiding faculty, inspiring students, and partnering with parents and the broader community to ensure a warm, growth-oriented, academically rigorous, and Torah-true environment.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & School Vision
- Develop and execute the strategic educational vision of Tehila High School.
- Serve as an inspiring role model in Torah values, character, and personal conduct.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence, personal growth, and student well-being.
- Build strong relationships with students, faculty, parents, community partners, and board members.
Faculty Development & Management
- Recruit, hire, and support high-quality faculty and staff.
- Provide ongoing mentorship, supervision, and performance evaluation.
- Promote a collaborative, respectful, professional school culture.
- Lead professional development initiatives and innovative teaching practices.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Oversee the development and implementation of rigorous Limudei Kodesh and General Studies curricula.
- Ensure programming aligns with the school’s mission, educational standards, and student needs.
- Create and develop extracurricular programs that enrich student life and foster leadership.
- Champion creative educational initiatives and cutting-edge instructional approaches.
Student Support & School Environment
- Engage regularly with students, creating an approachable and supportive presence.
- Promote individualized student success in academic, emotional, and spiritual domains.
- Uphold policies that ensure a safe, respectful, and growth-oriented school environment.
Financial & Operational Leadership
- Work collaboratively with the board and administrative team to manage and adhere to the school’s budget.
- Assist in financial planning, resource allocation, and responsible spending.
- Support fundraising and development initiatives as needed to sustain school growth.
- Ensure efficient operations aligned with the school’s mission and priorities.
Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong connections with the broader Baltimore Jewish community.
- Communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders.
- Represent the school with professionalism and warmth at all community functions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in Jewish education; high school leadership preferred.
- Deep commitment to Orthodox Jewish hashkafa and values.
- Strong background in curriculum development, school programming, and faculty leadership.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to inspire, motivate, and cultivate excellence.
- Passion for empowering and educating Bnos Yisrael with warmth and vision.
